 "There are many ways to live life. We all walk the path of life. What path are we walking? It is hard to make important life decisions; everyone is different and everyone takes different path to live their life. We are the only one that choose where we want to go, and I wish to walk the path with you. At a small town concert hall, Flutist, Hyun Kyung Lee was giving a concert. Although, there were small amount of audience, Ms. Lee was thanking each person for coming to her performance. As she was playing Frank Sinatra “ My Way”, she was making eye-contact with each audience as she was giving her respects. This was Ms. Lee’s special way to thanking, appreciating her audience- "

Hyun kyung Lee graduated Chonnam National University(department of Music Education Bachelor’s degree), Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris(Diplome superieur : L’unanimite et avec felicitations du jury), Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris(Diplome concertiste), Conservatoir National de Saint Maurt(Diplome superieur), Conservatoir National de Poissy(Diplome superieur), and Sungshin Women’s University(Ph.D).
She is currently doing as a principal flutist of Gwangju Symphony Orchestra, conductor and music director of Ecole de Flute Ensemble, committee Director of Asian Flute Association, and the part professor in Chonnam Univ, Chosun Univ, Gwangju Univ.

2000년, 그녀가 프랑스 유학을 마치고 돌아와 귀국과 동시에 입단한 광주시립교향악단에서의
생활이 올해로 13년이 되었다. 광주에서 태어났고 자랐으며 유학기간 동안에도 자신의 음악적
삶을 펼칠 곳은 당연히 고향인 광주라고 생각했다. 실제로 광주시향 활동과 개인 리사이틀 외에도
해외 연주자 초청 연주회, 해설이 있는 음악회, 여러 앙상블 연주회 등 그녀의 왕성한 활동은 대부분
광주를 중심으로 한 호남지방에서 이뤄졌다. 광주에 대한 애향심이 각별하다고 스스로도 이야기
하는 이현경은 애향심만큼이나 특별한 그녀의 음악이야기를 들려주었다.
